Jesús Manuel Mena Garza is an award-winning photographer whose photographs have been published by the Smithsonian Institution, Princeton University Press, Harper Collins Publishers, Pearson Longman Press, McGraw-Hill and others. His images can be seen in museums and galleries from coast to coast. Garza continues to present his photographs and lecture about his work and the Chicano experience.

Jesús Garza firmly believes that community service is an obligation. Since 1974 he has volunteered for arts funding, judging and discussion panels. The artist has volunteered for organizations as varied as the VA Hospital, Habitat for Humanity and the United Way.
