Rangefinder - This magazine's site contains plenty of useful information for the professional photographer. They even have links to classified adds and a marketplace. Yes, Rangefinder is worth a visit just for the evocative stories and photos.
University of California Riverside/California Museum of Photography - An extensive collection of museum quality photography from Daguerreotypes to contemporary photojournalism. Their photography collection is both diverse and imaginative. UCRCMP updated their website in 2006 and it looks great!
Digital Photography Review - I recommend this site if you want to check out the latest digital photography news. Explore their comprehensive database, forums and sample images.
DP Review Glossary - A valuable glossary that will help every digital photographer.
Library of Congress - Unique in their scope and richness, the Prints and Photographs collections today number over 14 million images (wow!). These include photographs, fine and popular prints and drawings, posters, and architectural and engineering drawings. While international in scope, the collections are particularly rich in materials produced in, or documenting the history of, the United States and the lives, interests and achievements of the American people. Of course, they could always add more photos of Chicano/as.

The Smithsonian Institution - The Office of Imaging, Printing and Photographic Services is the central source for the creation of photographs and digital images for the Smithsonian Institution. As the archival repository for photographs of objects and events at the Institution it serves the SI mandate for the "Increase and Diffusion of Knowledge". You will find pictures of the Million Man March to the President.

Fodor's Focus on Photography - So you need some help improving your photography. Well, this is probably the best site (I've seen) on the web for learning how to take pictures of various events and locations. Some of the best travel photography on the web.
