Jesús Garza has been taking intimate photographs of his community for decades. These images have coalesced in Garza's archive titled, Imágenes Xicano. Select images from this collection taken from 1970 to 1975 form Garza's traveling exhibition series, Chicano Photographer.

Images from this series and others have been published in magazines and books. Garza's portfolio also includes highly-nuanced images exploring the people and architecture of Arizona, New Mexico, Florida and Mexico.

The photographer is available to lecture on his photographs and the Chicano Movement. Garza has made presentations at the University of California at Berkeley, University of Redlands, Saint Mary's College of Maryland, San Bernardino County Museum and various museums, colleges and galleries from coast to coast.

A free PowerPoint (PPT) presentation on the Chicano Photographer or Globe, AZ series are available free to schools and qualified nonprofit organizations. Your comments and questions are always valuable. Please feel free to contact Jesús Garza.
